Hemodynamic monitoring ensures precision and is used for remotely controlled and minimally invasive procedures. The current systems comprise of computer-controlled electromechanical devices that work in response to the controls manipulated by surgeons. Hemodynamic monitoring involves performing operative procedures with the assistance of robotic technology. The global hemodynamic monitoring market is expected to register a CAGR of 5.5% during the forecast period 2018 to 2023.
Increasing demand for hemodynamic monitoring in disease treatment and critical care is one of the key factors driving the growth of this market globally. In infants, structural defects during the development of the heart in the fetal stage lead to congenital heart diseases. It is estimated that about 40,000 infants in the US are born with this disease every year, which is lethal in most cases while many such cases remain undetected. Physicians use pulse oximetry to detect this disease in infants which involve the measurement of oxygen levels in the blood.
